What's going on in Aguascalientes

There is a lot going on down here in Aguascalientes, Mexico. I want to keep you all informed with the highlights each month. Thank you to all who pray for and support these ministries. We are able to bless so many people and we couldn't do it without you. To God be all the glory. Gracias amigos!

August was a very busy month. I feel like I have been going non stop but I enjoy being able to get so much done and help out where needed.

As summer vacation came to an end, I made sure to get the kids from the orphanage out for some activities. Usually Sunday is our fun day and we were able to go to a park with a HUGE slide. Another Sunday we went to a different park to ride a train and eat ice cream afterwards.

I was able to help with the organization process in one of the storage rooms at the orphanage. I welded/installed lots of bars to hang clothes and also installed lots of shelves which will be used to store shoes. The boys dorm has received lots of donations and we want to have everything neat and in order. And as usual some of the kids helped me with the projects. It's good that they get a little bit of hands-on experience.

I did a lot of work at my dentist's house. I've pretty much finished everything that he wanted done. I installed 5 regular sized doors, 2 smaller swinging doors for a little closet garage, an overhang to keep water out and some 90 degree shelves. I built all of the doors out of aluminum and then installed the glass, hung them and put in the door handles. It was a lot of work but they look very nice. My dentist, Miguel, has done lots of free dental work for me and also for all of the women in the girls' home. We have been able to help each other out over the years and have become good friends in the process.

I've been seeing a girl, Acsa, for a while now and her parents are pastors. Acsa and I tiled and grouted one of the rooms in her parents' church. They use these rooms for the children's ministry and now it looks a lot better. We worked long hours and sometimes till very late. I wanted to get the job done before my trip home to the US. Our last day working we finished at 2am. Once it was all done, I took a moment to lie down and rest on the new floor.

We've been getting a lot of work done at Chevon's house. Her house was built in the 70's so there are a lot of things that are due for maintenance. I fixed a section of her floor where the tiles were lifting up. And a friend from the church I attend has been doing lots of jobs around the house that are not in my area of expertise. My friend, Esteban, has been hired by Chevon and is fixing up a lot of her stucco.

We had a goodbye BBQ for Juan and his family. Juan is a good friend of mine from church and he and his wife have been helping out a lot with Chevon. They have been coming over at least once a week for the last couple of months to cook and clean for her. They feel God has called them to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, to plant a church, so they packed up everything and are now no longer in Aguascalientes. Chevon opened up her home and invited people over to eat and say goodbye to Juan.

Juan has taken a giant step of faith to go to Puerto Vallarta to open up a church. There are lots of unknowns and lots of expenses that will be coming up. If anybody would like to help him and his family with their mission and send a donation, please let me know and I will make sure he gets it. You can email me at boboseski@gmail.com

I took Ariana & Elvira out for school supplies and got them ready for the new school year. They are both in the girls' home and entering their last year of high school! They started classes on August 29th. Unfortunately, I wasn't there on their first day because I was in the US, but I'm proud of them and excited that they are almost done with this milestone in their lives.

I got to take a trip home to San Diego. I arrived on August 18th and will be staying for almost a month. I'll be working a lot while I'm home covering shifts at the restaurant where I used to work. I'll be staying with my parents. It is always a blessing to be home and see family!
