What's going on in Aguascalientes

There is a lot going on down here in Aguascalientes, Mexico. I want to keep you all informed with the highlights each month. Thank you to all who pray for and support these ministries. We are able to bless so many people and we couldn't do it without you. To God be all the glory. Gracias amigos!

September was definitely different as I have been adjusting to my new life in San Diego. I have gotten to rest quite a bit but I am still staying active. I'm looking forward to seeing what God has for me back home.

Now that I'm home, I've been spending lots of time with my family. I will be staying with my parents for a little bit until I move back into my condo. It will be nice to get some quality time with them as I get settled back in. Also they will have extra time to get to know my dog, Canela. She loves it as she is getting spoiled with lots of treats.

My brother and his family came down for a weekend. It was so good to see everybody and to see Kennedy, my 1 1/2 year old niece. It had been 8 months since I'd been home and seen them, so it was nice to hang out and have fun by the pool. Time with family is such a blessing!

I have been getting involved with my church here in San Diego, Horizon Christian Fellowship. They asked me to head up their Jr High ministry. It is an honor to have been chosen and I am excited to teach the youth the Word of God. I lead the classes on Sunday morning. There is an activity for the kids and then we do worship and I preach a sermon. It is fun and I am looking forward to seeing these young kids grow in the Lord.

Also I have been helping out with other projects at church. We had to move everything out of their office. We built shelves and installed them in a 50ft semi trailer for extra storage. Please pray for a new office location where the church can work and have midweek activities.

Down in Aguascalientes, Mexico, one of my girls, Ariana, started college. She is studying gastronomy and hopes to be a chef and open her own restaurant someday. I'm excited for the times when I will go down and visit to see what she has learned and have her practice her cooking for me. I have volunteered to help taste the food she will be preparing!

I know that I just moved home, but I already had a trip back down to Aguascalientes scheduled from before. I flew down on September 25 and plan on staying until the beginning of October so I can celebrate my birthday with my friends and finish up any last minute/pending details.

And a special thanks to my friends Kyleigh & Luis (aka Junior). They have been helping me out a lot with my two girls, Ariana & Elvira. Since I have been gone most of the month of September, they have been taking the girls out for their school supplies and making all of the payments necessary for their school and their daily lives. Kyleigh & Junior have known the girls for years and were happy to help out.
