What's going on in Aguascalientes

There is a lot going on down here in Aguascalientes, Mexico. I want to keep you all informed with the highlights each month. Thank you to all who pray for and support these ministries. We are able to bless so many people and we couldn't do it without you. To God be all the glory. Gracias amigos!

November was a great month! I got to take another trip back down to Aguascalientes and also got to spend Thanksgiving with family. I'm very blessed!

I took a trip down to Aguascalientes on November 6th. I found a $70 round trip ticket and couldn't pass up the opportunity. Praise God for the amazing deal!

While I was down there, I got to check in on fellow Horizon missionary, Chevon. I was informed that Chevon wasn't doing too well for a couple of weeks after I left Mexico. She stopped doing her physical therapy and shortly after couldn't walk. She is now back on track and is able to get up and move around again.

There were quite a few health scares over the past month. Chevon was taken to see many specialists but they couldn't find any problems. We don't know what is going on but it has been a very difficult process. Please keep Chevon and the people taking care of her in your prayers.

I got to see my girls, Ariana & Elvira, many times while I was down there. We went out for tacos, went to church, and did other things. But my favorite was on my last night when we had a nice dinner together. Ariana is studying gastronomy in college and is about to finish her first semester. I wanted to "see her in action," so I bought some food and she prepared it. She made us fajitas and quesadillas. It was delicious! I was pretty stuffed afterwards. Ariana wants to open her own restaurant someday, so I'm glad that she is learning a lot and gaining experience.

I took advantage of my visit and got all of my Christmas shopping done for the girls. I knew that I wouldn't be in Aguascalientes again until after Christmas, so I prepared everything while I was there. I left the gifts wrapped and ready so my friends can bring them to the girls on Christmas morning.

I flew back to San Diego on Saturday, November 18th. I wanted to get back in time for church on Sunday so I wouldn't miss my Jr High class. It is going really well and I enjoy teaching the Bible to the youth.

I was helping Alec, a leader in the church, build a deck at his home and we finished the day before Thanksgiving. We started last month but had to put things on hold because we both had trips planned. He waited for me to get back from Mexico to continue, and I am thankful that I got to finish the project with him and gain the experience. It came out really nice and I learned a lot on this project.

We celebrated Thanksgiving at my brother's house in Los Angeles. It was really good to see everybody and hang out with my nephews and niece. They are growing up so fast, so it is always nice to spend time with them. I ate a ton of food and fell asleep on the couch...I call it a food coma. I missed out on the pie because I was napping but not to worry, there were plenty of leftovers! I hope everybody else had a great Thanksgiving with family and loved ones. We are truly blessed in the USA!
